The Lappeenranta Half is a unique sporting event that brings together two traditional sports clubs from Lappeenranta. The competition offers runners the opportunity to experience the beautiful landscapes of Lappeenranta and its unique atmosphere while pushing themselves and aiming for their personal bests on the fastest route in Lappeenranta, set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Saimaa. The event will take place on August 31, 2025, at the Lappeenranta Harbor Square, and its route follows the shoreline of the harbor.
Highlights
- The extremely flat route follows the shoreline of the Lappeenranta harbor and offers an incredible running experience in an event organized by a club that is over 100 years old.
- The half marathon route consists of three laps, each approximately 7 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of only about 12 meters.
- The top times for the half marathon in 2024 were 1:07:51 for men and 1:11:15 for women, so it will indeed be a fast course!
